A painting that began a late night spree of exploration. Using a limited palette of Titanium white, Yellow Ochre, Ultramarine Blue and Burnt Umber I created impressionistic depiction of a trio of pears to capture a variety of shapes, tones and shifting colours. I have held on to this one as a reminder that a flicker of inspiration can lead to great jumps in understanding and skill.
